Hilda M. Sanders


SABILLASVILLE, Md. - Hilda Mae Fox Sanders, 92, of 172047 Harbaugh Valley Church Road, died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2003, at Manorcare Nursing Home in Chambersburg, Pa.

Born Sept. 20, 1911, in Mount Zion, Md., she was the daughter of the late Charles R. and Flora B. Brown Fox.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Sanders, in 1959. They were married in 1935.

She was employed by Summit Plaza in Blue Ridge Summit, Pa., until 1970.

She was a member of Mount Zion United Methodist Church and attended St. Marks Lutheran Church in Sabillasville, where she was active with the social and quilting bees.

She is survived by one son, Richard Sanders of Sabillasville; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Thelma M. Bloom; two sisters, Hellie M. Mahahan and Agnes M. Kuhn; and four brothers, Wilber M. Fox, Cifford M. Fox, Samuel C. Fox, and Joseph J. Fox.

Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Marks Lutheran Church in Sabillasville. The Rev. Janet Commings will officiate. Burial will be in Germantown Bethel Church Cemetery in Cascade.

The family will receive friends today from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lochstampfor Funeral Home in Waynesboro, Pa.; and at the church Saturday at 10 a.m.




Lauretta Householder


WILLIAMSPORT - Lauretta Householder, 71, of 8132 Avis Mill Road, died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2003, at her home.

Born Aug. 14, 1932, in Williamsport, she was the daughter of the late Roy Bentley and Beatrice Ann Bowers Straley.

She was employed by Federal Silk Mill in Williamsport.

She was a member of Williamsport Assembly of God, now Valley Assembly of God Christian Life Center, in Halfway.

She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Ned J. Householder; one daughter, Amy S. Mills of Hagerstown; one son, Ned A. Householder of Hagerstown; one sister, Medessia Nalley of Williamsport; two brothers, Eugene Straley of Williamsport and James Straley of Falling Waters, W.Va.; three grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Jeannette Peacher; and three brothers, Claude Straley, Leon Straley, and Philip Straley.

Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Valley Assembly of God Christian Life Center in Hagerstown. The Rev. Daniel Jordan will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Williamsport.

The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at Osborne Funeral Home in Williamsport, which will open at noon.

Nathaniel D. Weaver


Nathaniel Douglas Weaver, infant son of Brad D. and Kimberly Anne Beattie Weaver of 8785 Jordan Road, Hagerstown, died Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2003, at the University of Maryland Hospital in Baltimore.

He was born Oct. 24, 2003, in Baltimore.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by paternal grandparents, Douglas and Kristina Weaver of Fairplay; maternal grandparents, Michael and Ginger Beattie of Hagerstown; paternal great-grandmother, Phyllis Baker of Hagerstown; maternal great-grandparents, Marvin and Wanda Toms of Hagerstown; aunts; uncles; and cousins.

Services will be private.

Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery in Hagerstown.

There will be no visitation.

Arrangements are by Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home in Hagerstown.




Clifford O. Weller Sr.


HANCOCK - Clifford O. "Buddy" Weller Sr., 78, of Bain Road, died Thursday, Oct. 30, 2003, at Fulton County Medical Center in McConnellsburg, Pa.

Born April 18, 1925, in Hancock, he was the son of the late Luther A. and Mary Mills Weller.

He retired from C. William Hetzer as a grader operator.

He was a member of Orchard Ridge First Church of God in Hancock.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Lilllian A. Norris Weller; one daughter, Shirley Egolf of Hancock; three sons, Clifford O. Weller Jr., Roger L. Weller and Wayne Weller, all of Hancock; four sisters, Frances Knable and Betty Hensley, both of Needmore, Pa., Betty Sites of Hancock, and Etheal Thatcher of Mercersburg, Pa.; three brothers, Clyde Weller of Hancock, Floyd Weller of Big Pool, and Calvin Weller of Waynesboro, Pa.; one grandson; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Rose M. Weller; one son, Freddie A. Weller; two sisters, Mary J. Weller and Judy Weller; and three brothers, James Weller, Melvin Weller and Larry Weller.

A memorial service will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Orchard Ridge First Church of God in Hancock. Pastor Jeff Hawbaker will officiate.

Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

The family requests the omission of flowers.

Estella E. Wingert


QUINCY, Pa. - Estella Elizabeth Hicks Wingert, 100, of Quincy United Methodist Home, and formerly of South Washington Street, Greencastle, Pa., died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2003, at the home.
