Bulldogs, Hubs stay at the top

For the fourth week in a row, Martinsburg and North Hagerstown hold the top two spots in The Herald-Mail Super 7 high school football poll.

The Bulldogs won their 21st consecutive regular-season game on Friday, beating Fort Hill, 41-2. They close out the regular season at Musselman Friday, then take a week off before the start of the playoffs.

The Hubs stayed on course for their first undefeated season by beating Class 2A West rival Francis Scott Key, 26-6. North plays Smithsburg on Friday in the only matchup of ranked teams this week.

Walkersville kept a tenuous hold on the third spot after losing to South Carroll 35-16, while Catoctin moved within a point of the Lions in fourth position with a 50-13 win over Williamsport.

Frederick - a 24-7 winner over Liberty - and Smithsburg - a 27-0 winner over South Hagerstown - each moved up one position, while St. John's at Prospect Hall dropped two spots to No. 7 after losing to Archbishop Spalding, 35-20.
