Men enter occupied car, take belongings

Two men approached two other men just before midnight Friday as they sat in a car on Wise Street, Hagerstown City Police said.

One of the men got into the back seat, reached into the front seat, removed the keys from the ignition and announced that he had a gun, police said.

The man in the passenger's seat opened the door and ran, police said.

The suspect removed unidentified personal property from the driver, who then opened the door and ran, police said.

The car was not stolen.

Knoxville woman is reported missing

A 23-year-old Knoxville woman has been reported missing, the Washington County Sheriff's Office said Saturday.

Jessica Lynn Edwards of 19305 Deer Path Road, last was seen Wednesday morning at 1416 Eastern Ave. N.E., Washington, D.C., in the company of a white woman named Lacy and a black man by the street name of "Payroll," police said.


Edwards is described as a white female, 5 feet 8 inches tall and 135 pounds with long, straight, shoulder-length blond hair.

She has a tattoo on her left ring finger and on her right thigh and a scar on the right side of her face, police said.

She was last seen wearing blue jeans, a black T-shirt, blue cotton jacket and black dress boots.

Golf cart stolen from Whitetail Golf Resort

MERCERSBURG, Pa. - A golf cart was reported stolen Friday from Whitetail Golf Resort, Pennsylvania State Police said.

The white EZ Go 1999 Textron cart was taken from the resort in a vehicle or on a trailer, police said.

It was taken between 6 p.m. Thursday and 11 a.m. Friday, police said. Anyone with information is asked to call state police in Chambersburg, Pa., at 717-264-5161.

Pool liner, cover sliced; door damaged

The Washington County Sheriff's Department reported the following calls Friday morning:

  • A pool liner and cover were sliced at a home on Harp Road near Hagerstown, causing $500 in damages. The incident happened Thursday at 6:28 p.m., police said.

  • A rear door of a residence on East Salisbury Street in Williamsport was damaged Thursday at 12:38 p.m. Police said there is no estimate of the damages.
