Woman pleads guilty to one assault count

A Pennsylvania woman who pleaded guilty Tuesday to one count of second-degree assault was fined $245 and issued a 12-month probation term by Washington County District Judge Ralph H. France II, court records said.

Records said authorities withdrew all other charges against Lynn A. Bradshaw, 32, of 407 Bradshaw Road in Warfordsburg, Pa., stemming from a July 16 assault on West Main Street. Bradshaw had been charged with three other counts of second-degree assault and one count of reckless endangerment, records said. A first-degree assault charge was withdrawn in August, according to records.

Records said Bradshaw waved a sword in the air, threw a lug nut at a woman outside the rear of the residence, threatened to kill her and pointed a crossbow at four people, according to allegations contained in the records. Bradshaw denied waving the sword, according to records.

Texas man faces pair of assault counts

The Washington County Sheriff's Department charged a Texas man with two counts of second-degree assault after he allegedly spit on two officers.

Washington County District Judge Ralph H. France II set bail for Eloy Lopez Villanueva, 29, of Hidalgo, Texas, at $25,000, court records said.

Deputies said Villanueva was arrested during an Oct. 10 dispute at C & R Liquor Store, 1304 Dual Highway. Deputies allege Villanueva, who was wanted for a parole violation in his home state, was harassing customers outside the store.

Deputies said Villanueva shouted expletives at them upon arrival, and eventually spit and struck two officers in the back of the head.

A Washington County Detention Center spokesman said Villanueva was being held there late Tuesday.
