Albright Crumbacker Moul & Itell


Deena Lee has been promoted to manager of Albright Crumbacker Moul & Itell, an accounting and business consultant firm with offices in Hagerstown and Martinsburg, W.Va.

Lee has been with the firm more than seven years.

In addition:

  • Mary Elizabeth Blanchard and Dawn Murphy have been promoted to senior accountants.

  • Jeremy Compton has been promoted to in-charge accountant.

Brook Lane Health Services


Don Smith, M.D., has joined the medical staff of Brook Lane Health Services.

Smith works with inpatients and outpatients in the child and adolescent program. He has a particular interest in treating attention deficit disorder and mood disorders, such as depression and anxiety.

The Morning Herald Sports staff of Mark Keller, Andy Mason, Bob Parasiliti, Dan Kauffman and Tim Koelble have been named The Herald-Mail Co.'s Employees of the Month for October.

In addition to developing a comprehensive high school football tabloid section in late August, the staff developed a new Friday feature, "Weekend Playbook," that debuted Sept. 5, giving readers additional information about high school football games.

Brenda Bush has been hired as educational services coordinator in the Marketing Department, overseeing the company's Newspaper in Education program.

In the Advertising Department, Lowell Charlton has been named Web sales manager and B.J. Buske has been hired as an automotive sales representative.

In part-time moves, Alicia Notarianni Stephens has been hired as social events reporter in the Newsroom. In the Mailroom, Sherri Funk has been promoted to part-time machinist, and Paulynn Tomlin, Ronda Snyder, Angela Harne, Christopher Baker and Felicia French have been hired as inserters.

Marking milestone anniversaries in October are Rod Sova, Circulation, 10 years, and Tracey Poffenberger, Accounting, and Scott Butki, Newsroom, five years.




Associated Engineering Sciences


Associated Engineering Sciences has added two full-time employees to its civil engineering department in Hagerstown.

Mary Elizabeth Rose Howells of Fort Littleton, Pa., will be working as a civil engineer and designer.

Scott M. Deeds, a native of Martinsburg, W.Va., will be working as a design technician.




Long & Foster


Joan Schupp was the top producer, top lister and the top seller with a sales volume of $1,937,600 at the Hagerstown Long & Foster office in August.

Rick Baker and Leslie Snyder were the agents with the most new listings.




Hagerstown YMCA


Hagerstown YMCA aerobic coordinator Teri Lowry has received American Fitness Professionals and Association certifications in kick-boxing, step aerobics and Mat Science I & II.

Lowry and Anita Binder attended the District of Columbia Aerobic Conference fitness convention where they received a Level One yoga certification.

Sonia Reyes, fitness director, and Carolyn Lanning attended Principles of Health and Fitness at the Frederick YMCA. Reyes also acquired her group exercise instructor certification.

Binder, YMCA fitness instructor, received the Hagerstown-Washington County Chamber of Commerce Distinguished Service Award at the Four Points Sheraton on Sept. 25.




Roxbury Correctional Institution


Roberta Barkley, Candy Denkovich, Leesa Mercer and Dee Ann Valentine, case management office secretary I's, are Roxbury Correctional Institution's Employees of the Month for October.

They were recognized for their superior teamwork over the last several months during staff shortages due to illness to accomplish the day-to-day responsibilities of the clerical area of the Case Management Department.




Brook Lane Health Services


Katie A. Cox has been named the principal for Laurel Hall High School, special education services program, at Brook Lane Health Services.

Cox previously was a teacher for the program. Earlier this year, she received an Educator of the Year award from the Hagerstown-Washington County Chamber of Commerce.

Cox will supervise the daily functions of the school, which serves approximately 90 students from Washington and Frederick counties.




Martin Financial Consulting


GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Sheldon Eugene Martin of Greencastle has completed the requirements for the nationally recognized accredited tax preparer and accredited tax advisor designations.

Martin is the owner of Martin Financial Consulting in Greencastle.




Longaberger Co.


Judith Stambaugh of Falling Waters, W.Va., recently joined The Longaberger Co. as an independent sales associate.
