Hendershot in hospital

October 01, 2003|by SCOTT BUTKI

Hagerstown City Councilman N. Linn Hendershot is being treated at Washington County Hospital for a respiratory infection, and said Tuesday he expects to remain hospitalized through at least Saturday.

Hendershot said he was admitted to the hospital last Thursday.

Hendershot, who breathes through a ventilator, was listed in fair condition Tuesday afternoon.

While in the hospital, he is being treated intravenously with an antibiotic, he said.

Hendershot said that about two weeks ago, he spent about two days in the hospital for treatment of the same infection.

Hendershot said this is the third time this year that he has had to be treated at the hospital.

Hendershot had a relative take him to the hospital Thursday night after he suffered shortness of breath while attending a Hagerstown-Washington County Chamber of Commerce event.
