Sandra L. Mills


WARFORDSBURG, Pa. - Sandra Lee Mills, 38, of 2891 Sipes Mill Road, died Saturday, Aug. 30, 2003, at her home.

Born July 29, 1965, in Chambersburg, Pa., she was the daughter of Kay Sandra Koontz Anderson of Needmore, Pa., and the late Gary Lee Anderson.

She worked as a programmer at the Mechanicsburg Naval Depot in Mechanicsburg, Pa.

She was a member of Pleasant Ridge Church of the Brethren in Needmore.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Randy Edward Mills, whom she married Jan. 27, 2003; a daughter, Randi L. Mills of Warfordsburg; two stepdaughters, Amanda L. Mills and Alyson D. Mills, both of Big Cove Tannery, Pa.; a stepson, Arik E. Mills of Big Cove Tannery; a sister, Debra K. Anderson of Needmore; and a brother, David L. Anderson of Needmore.

Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Pleasant Ridge Church of the Brethren in Needmore. The Revs. Roger Truax and William Swope will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Church of the Brethren Cemetery in Needmore.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home in Harrisonville and Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the church.




Donald N. Kyler


HUSTONTOWN, Pa. - Donald N. "Kite" Kyler, 70, of 15462 Pleasant Ridge Road, died Friday, Aug. 29, 2003, at Harrisburg General Hospital in Harrisburg, Pa.

Born May 11, 1933, in Hustontown, he was the son of the late Emmett Kyler Sr. and Nellie Mellott Kyler.

He retired from Exxon Corp., where he worked for 37 1/2 years as a gas attendant and assistant manager.

He was a member of F.O.E. Post 4274 of Harrisonville, Pa.; American Legion Post 561 of McConnellsburg, Pa.; AAA Motor Club; and AARP.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Rosenberry Kyler, whom he married Sept. 15, 1985; his stepmother, Catherine Kyler of Lemoyne, Pa.; a stepson, Patrick Doyle of West Valley City, Utah; a half sister, Elizabeth Over of Lemoyne; a half brother, Emmett Kyler Jr. of Ducannon, Pa.; and four step-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a stepson, John Doyle; a sister, Patsy Kling; and aunts and uncles.

Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home in Harrisonville. The Rev. Phyllis Bard will officiate. Burial will be in Union Cemetery in McConnellsburg.

Visitation will be Monday from 5 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.




Stanley S. Fewell


HARPERS FERRY, W.Va. - Stanley S. Fewell, 58, of Harpers Ferry, died Friday, Aug. 29, 2003, at his home.

Born Sept. 5, 1944, in Loudoun County, Va., he was the son of the late Charles A. and Blanche Reed Fewell.

He had been employed by John Virts Co. in Lovettsville, Va.

He was a member of Murrill Hill United Methodist Church in Harpers Ferry.

He was a member of Purcellville, Va. American Legion Post 293 and Eagles Club of Purcellville.

He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Patricia L. McGee Fewell; four daughters, Donna Pope of Virginia Beach, Va., Roxane Sharp of Front Royal, Va., Sandy Fewell of Leesburg, Va., and Steveana Fewell of Harpers Ferry; a sister, Connie Lickey of Lovettsville; two brothers, Kenneth Fewell of Leesburg and Thomas Fewell of Manassas, Va.; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by two sisters.

Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Murrill Hill United Methodist Church in Harpers Ferry. The Rev. Donnie J. Cardwell will officiate. Burial will be in Murrill Hill Church Cemetery in Harpers Ferry.

The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home in Charles Town, W.Va.

Steven R. Stone


BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Steven Reaves Stone, 40, of Berkeley Springs, died Friday, Aug. 29, 2003, at his home.

Born Feb. 22, 1963, in Baltimore, he was the son of Mary Jane Unger Stone Hargett of Berkeley Springs and the late Willie Leo Stone.

He was a 1981 graduate of Berkeley Springs High School.

He was a plumber and worked as a subcontractor with several local plumbing companies.

He served in the U.S. Army.

He was a Baptist.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by a son, Steven M. Stone of Wheeling, W.Va.; his stepfather, Charles E. Hargett Sr. of Berkeley Springs; three sisters, Cynthia A. Blake, Debra A. Messner and Cathy L. Spielman, all of Berkeley Springs; three brothers, Robert E. Hargett of Hancock, Michael J. Stone of Hedgesville, W.Va., and Charles E. Hargett Jr. of Berkeley Springs; nieces; nephews; aunts; uncles; and cousins.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Daniel E. Hargett.

Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home in Berkeley Springs with military honors by the Tri-State Honor Guard.

Burial will be private in Spohrs Crossroads Cemetery in Morgan County, W.Va.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home, which will open at 9 a.m.
