Charles D. Kline


Charles Donald Kline, 72, of 20918 Leitersburg Pike, Hagerstown, died Thursday, Aug. 28, 2003, at his home.

Born June 6, 1931, in Wolfsville, he was the son of the late Earl Theodore and Catherine Elizabeth Bowman Kline.

He retired from AC&T in Hagerstown.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Ardella L. Jones Kline; three daughters, Connie L. Spoonire of Smithsburg, Linda K. Sanders of Hancock and Loretta A. Kline of North Carolina; one sister, Olive Kendall of Smithsburg; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

A graveside service will be Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at St. Mark Lutheran Church Cemetery in Wolfsville. The Rev. Jonathon Laye will officiate.

Visitation will be today from 7 to 9 p.m. at his home, 20918 Leitersburg Pike in Hagerstown.

Memorial donations may be made to Emmanuel Chapel, 108 Bayer Drive, Smithsburg, MD 21783.

Arrangements are by Gerald N. Minnich Funeral Home, North Potomac Street, Hagerstown.

Camilla M. Gibson


Camilla Madaline Gibson, 93, of Hagerstown, died Thursday, Aug. 28, 2003, at Williamsport Nursing Home.

Born Sept. 14, 1909, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late John K. and Lucy C. Anderson Rohrer.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Thomas L. Gibson Sr., in 1986.

She was a 1927 graduate of Hagerstown High School and attended Hagerstown Business School.

She was an employee of Potomac Edison Co. for 23 years.

She was a member of Presbyterian Church of Hagerstown and Presbyterian Women's Club.

She was a member of XY High Club of Hagerstown.

She is survived by one son, Thomas L. Gibson Jr. of Cumberland, Md.; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.

Services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Gerald N. Minnich Funeral Home, North Potomac Street, Hagerstown. The Rev. John Ailstock will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Hagerstown.

Visitation will be Saturday at 9 a.m. at the funeral home.

Barbara F. Warrenfeltz


WOLFSVILLE - Barbara Frey Warrenfeltz, 86, of Wolfsville, died Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2003, at Kline Hospice House.

Born Jan. 13, 1917, in Wolfsville, she was the daughter of the late David R. and Rosa C. Eccard Frey.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Philip Foster Warrenfeltz.

She was a graduate of Frostburg State and Shepherd College.

She retired 26 years ago from Frederick County Public Schools, after 38 years as a teacher.

She is survived by one daughter, Kathy W. Keeney of Accomac, Va.; and two nephews.

A graveside service will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Wolfsville Reformed Church Cemetery. Pastors Randall Reid and David Howell will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Kline Hospice House, 7000 Kimmel Road, Mount Airy, MD 21771.




Dale F. Coons


DRY RUN, Pa. - Dale F. Coons, 75, of 19565 Back Road, died Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2003, at Chambersburg (Pa.) Hospital.

Born Jan. 19, 1928, in Dry Run, he was the son of the late Bruce and Ruth Brenize Coons.

He was a 1946 graduate of Fannett High School and a graduate of Chambersburg Business School. He completed banking schools through Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pa.

A banker, he had worked at financial institutions including the former Valleybank, from which he retired as vice president after 41 years of service.

He was a member of Spring Run Presbyterian Church, and attended Doylesburg, Pa., United Methodist Church, where he was secretary of the Sunday school class.

He had served as president of Path Valley Lions Club; was a member and former secretary of the Franklin County Wool Growers Association; a member of Orrstown Lodge 262 F & AM; and coached Little League baseball.

He and his wife clerked public auctions on Saturdays.

He is survived by his wife, Larue M. Murray Coons, whom he married Sept. 11, 1948; one daughter, Kim C. Russell of Chambersburg; two sons, Keith L. Coons of Dry Run and Kirk L. Coons of Doylesburg; two sisters, Nancy Miller of Fayetteville, Pa., and Jane Estep of Dry Run; four brothers, Glen Coons of Shermansdale, Pa., Norman Coons and Ray Coons, both of Dry Run, and Larry Coons of Granite Bay, Calif.; and two grandchildren.

Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at John L. Agett Funeral Home in Dry Run. Burial will be in Upper Valley Cemetery in Dry Run.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. A Masonic Service will be held at 10:45 a.m. by Orrstown Lodge 262 F & AM.

The family requests the omission of flowers.
