Henry's outlook: "This is the best team I've had and I'm very optimistic about our season. Nick Zaccaria is our captain and should be one of the top players in the league. Our goals are to improve both individually and as a team and to qualify for the states."

Koontz's outlook: "I have several eighth graders that have been playing a lot of golf this summer. In a few years, we ought to be able to compete with anybody in the area."

Neff's outlook: "With three players returning from last year's state runner-up team, we have some serious gaps to fill. Our team will be young, but hopefully the summer titelist tours they have played on will mature them quickly into county, region and state contenders."

Armstrong's outlook: "I am very optimistic. We finished second last year in the Mid-Atlantic Athletic Conference. We have several returning players from last year. A new player, Kim Eaton, is a very talented freshman. She is absolutely incredible. She has done well in summer golf tournaments against some of the best players in the county. She has beaten them and she hasn't even attended a high school class yet. I am looking for a lot of good things from her."

St. Maria Goretti Gaels


Coach: Pete Favret, 2nd year

Favret's outlook: "Our outlook is optimistic. We think we have a lot of good players. Bobby Jones was first-team All-County. Dennis Hazenstab and Cory McCuen are also talented players. We just need some help from the other players."

Williamsport Wildcats

Steiner's outlook: "If we play up to our potential and have a good short game, then we can be up at the top. We have several golfers that played junior golf this year. We have several golfers that have the potential to go to states."
