Hand tools stolen

ST. THOMAS, Pa. - Numerous hand tools were stolen in a burglary reported Saturday on the 5000 block of Bullit Road in St. Thomas Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

Police said the tools were stolen from a shed at the victim's home and occurred prior to 11 a.m.

No injuries reported in single car accident

SCOTLAND, Pa. - A Virginia man and his passenger were unhurt in a one-vehicle accident early Sunday, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

Police said Tyrel Portner of Virginia Beach, Va., and Danielle Mills of Shippensburg, Pa., were traveling north at 12:50 a.m. wen the Ford Explorer Portner was driving ran off the road near mile marker 19 and rolled onto its side.

Man hurt in crash

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - A Chambersburg man had minor injuries Saturday afternoon when the car he was driving struck a tree, according to Pennsylvania State Police.


Micah L. Gingrich, 18, was driving north on New Franklin Road in Guilford Township, Pa., when he lost control of the 1991 Acura Legend on a curve near the Alleman Road intersection. He was treated at Chambersburg Hospital, police said.

Purses stolen from cars

MERCERSBURG, Pa. - Pennsylvania State Police are investigating the thefts of purses from two cars Friday night or Saturday morning in Peters Township, Pa.

Police said one purse was stolen from the vehicle of Crystal Harvey of 13892 Dickeys Road between 6:30 p.m. and 9:15 a.m. The other was taken from the vehicle of Kimberly Witmer of 4879 Charlestown Road between 7 p.m. and 8:30 a.m., police said.

The reports did not indicate whether police believed the crimes were linked.
