Jefferson Urgent Care

CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. - Jefferson Urgent Care has added Chris Rife to its medical team as a physician assistant.

Rife, a native of Martinsburg, W.Va., received his undergraduate degree from West Virginia University and graduated from the George Washington University Physician's Assistant Program in Washington.

Citizens Bank of Southern Pa.

STATE LINE, Pa. - Tammy L. Krug has been named assistant branch manager of the State Line office of Citizens Bank of Southern Pennsylvania.

Krug, of Waynesboro, Pa., will be responsible for loan interviews, business development activities, customer sales and service and bank teller supervision.


O'Neill Physical Therapy Services

Lorraine O'Neill, physical therapist and owner of O'Neill Physical Therapy Services in Hagerstown, recently completed a seven-week course in Educational Materials and Methods.

Course work included teaching skills for professional presentations, community seminars, academic education and clinical education.

The First National Bank of Greencastle

GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Chad Zarger of Greencastle, a security compliance officer of The First National Bank of Greencastle, has completed the last year of a three-year summer school in banking conducted by the Pennsylvania Bankers Association.

Students in the three summer sessions of the school receive instruction in human resources management, bank management, marketing, lending, other bank services, financial statements and economics.

Associated Engineering Sciences

Michael A. Pilli Jr. has joined the staff of Associated Engineering Sciences Inc.

Pilli, of Warfordsburg, Pa., is a graduate of the York Technical Institute and has had several years of experience working for engineering companies as an AutoCAD operator, graphic designer, geological technician and draftsman.

Washington County Hospital

Judith Miller, director of informatics for Nursing and Patient Services at Washington County Hospital, was invited by Health Technology Center to participate in a national expert panel on the future of wireless technology in health care.

Miller was one of 11 participants on the panel focusing on the impact of wireless technology on health care in the next two to five years. The information from the panel will be published later this year.

Health Technology Center is a nonprofit research consortium in San Francisco that provides research for its member organizations.

Washington County Health Department

Karen Nilson has been selected as the Washington County Health Department's Employee of the Month for August.

Nilson has been employed in the department's school health program since July 1996 and is assigned to Clear Spring Middle School.

D.M. Bowman Inc.

D.M. Bowman Inc. has announced the winners of its company driving championship, including two from the Tri-State area.

Charlie Fischer, who works out of the Williamsport terminal, was the Division II first-place winner. Division II includes drivers who have been with the company for more than 10 years.

The Division I first-place winner was Wayne Glunt of the Frederick, Md., terminal. Division I is for drivers with the company less than 10 years.

WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Michelle Monn, custodian at the Waynesboro Area YMCA, recently was honored for completing five years at the local association.

HARRISBURG, Pa. - Lance E. Kessler has been appointed to the new position of senior vice president and chief marketing officer for Waypoint Financial Corp.

Kessler, of Mechanicsburg, Pa., will lead the competitive positioning and strategic marketing direction for Waypoint.
