Dorothy I. Gabler


CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Dorothy I. Gabler, 80, of Manorcare Health Services and formerly of 304 E. Liberty St., died Thursday, Aug. 14, 2003, at Manorcare Health Services.

Born Feb. 9, 1923, in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of the late Thomas S. and Fannie M. Harvey Gabler.

She was a 1941 graduate of the former Chambersburg High School.

She was a homemaker.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Chambersburg.

She is survived by a sister, Helen G. Worthington of Chambersburg; a brother, Elwood R. Gabler of Chambersburg; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by four sisters and three brothers.

Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home in Chambersburg. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery in Chambersburg.

The family will receive friends Monday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

Helen R. Bricker


Helen R. Cline Bricker, 84, of Avalon Manor Health Care Center, 14014 Marsh Pike, Hagerstown, and formerly of 208-A Elder Ave., Waynesboro, Pa., died Friday, Aug. 15, 2003, at the health care center.

Born Dec. 24, 1918, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Harvey C. and Emma K. Unklesbee Cline.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert H. Bricker Sr., in 1998. They were married Sept. 30, 1938.

She attended school in Hagerstown.

She was last employed as a waitress at Eagles Inc. in Waynesboro, Pa.

She was a member of Broadfording Bible Brethren Church in Hagerstown.

She is survived by two daughters, Patsy J. Dillow of Chambersburg, Pa., and Roberta B. Scott of Waynesboro; two sons, Robert H. Bricker Jr. of Hagerstown and Dennis R. Bricker of Waynesboro; two sisters, Ruth I. Gorman of Greencastle, Pa., and Mary M. Potts Hesson of Hagerstown; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Laura R.S. Snurr, and two brothers, Elmer C. Cline and Richard L. Cline.

Services will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home in Waynesboro. The Rev. Stephen Robison will officiate. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery in Waynesboro.

The family will receive friends Monday at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home.

Freda F. Trumpower


PECKTONVILLE, Md. - Freda Fay Mills Trumpower, 81, of 12823 Pecktonville Road, Big Pool, died Friday, Aug. 15, 2003, at her home of liver cancer.

Born July 15, 1922, in Williamsport, Md., she was the daughter of the late Garrett Clymer and Sallie Elizabeth Swandol Mills.

Her husband of 50 years, Earl Sylvester Trumpower, died Sept. 21, 1991.

She was a graduate of Clear Spring High School and Hagerstown Business College.

She retired in 1983 from the Maryland Correctional Training Center as secretary to the assistant superintendent. She also worked at the Londontown Sewing Factory in Hancock, Md.

She was a member of Park Head United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday school for 50 years, was the church historian and church treasurer for many years and held various other positions.

She is survived by a daughter, Kathleen E. Niswander and her husband, Marvin, of Hagerstown; a sister, Carroll L. Hose Nichols of Pecktonville; two brothers, Charles E. "Bud" Mills and his wife, Janet, of Pecktonville and Garrett Calvin "Hank" Mills of Clear Spring; and many loving nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Philip L. "Bunk" Mills, and a sister and brother (infant twins), Mary E.V. Mills and Garrett C. Mills Jr.

At her request, there will be no viewing or visitation. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Aug. 23, at 2 p.m. at Park Head United Methodist Church, 9512 National Pike, Big Pool, Md. The Rev. Terry Clark will officiate.

Margretta Moruzzi


DENTON, Texas - Margretta Moruzzi, 69, of Denton and formerly of Denver, died Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2003.

She is survived by a daughter, Patricia Martino; two sons, David Moruzzi and John Moruzzi; a sister, Frances Mace; 10 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Carol A. Gentz.

Services will be today at 10 a.m. at LDS Zuni Chapel in Denver.

Visitation will be today at 9 a.m. at the chapel in Denver.

Arrangements are by Runyan-Stevenson-Capitol Mortuary and Crematory in Lakewood, Colo.




Jacqueline M. McGlaughlin


CASCADE - Jacqueline Marie "Jackie" McGlaughlin, 69, of 25328 Highfield Road, died Thursday, Aug. 14, 2003, at her home.

Born Aug. 4, 1934, in Waynesboro, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Lawrence Lee and Edna Marie Kendall McGlaughlin.
