Suns win finale of road trip

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - Jeff Salazar hit two home runs and the Asheville Tourists defeated the Hagerstown Suns 6-3 on Wednesday.

Hagerstown finished 4-4 on the road trip and is 2 1/2 games behind Lexington for the South Atlantic League Northern Division Wild Card spot. The Suns host Greensboro for four games starting Friday.

Fred Lewis led off the game with a homer and Carlos Sosa added a solo homer two batters later as Hagerstown took a 2-0 lead.

Salazar answered in the bottom half with a two-run shot to tie the game. Later in the inning, Alvin Colina's RBI single made it 3-2.

The Suns tied it in the third when Kevin Kelly doubled home Kevin Alexander.

Salazar's homer in the sixth broke the tie, and Nick Gretz's solo homer and Duke Sardinha's RBI double later in the inning made it 6-3.
