WALKERSVILLE, Md. (AP) - Five Frederick County fishermen came home with $1.3 million after hooking a 78.5 pound white marlin to win the White Marlin Open on Friday.

It was Walkersville fisherman Doug Remsberg's first billfish catch as he captured the group a world record billfish tournament prize.

"We saw the fish swim by the boat, and few seconds later I hooked it," Remsberg said. It took nearly a half hour to get the marlin into the boat.

The team of all tournament rookies entered every category for a $20,400 entrance fee and competed against 397 other boats. The contest, held off Ocean City, had teams fish for three days out of five days.
