CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. - A 44-year-old Harpers Ferry, W.Va., man who was shot several times in the stomach outside the Rainbow Road Club early Sunday remained in good condition Monday, West Virginia State Police said.
James Collyer was taken to Winchester (Va.) Medical Center with three gunshot wounds to the stomach and one to the wrist, state police said.
Thomas McLachlan, 24, of 266 North Cottage Road, Sterling, Va., was charged with malicious wounding in the shooting, according to Jefferson County Magistrate Court records.
McLachlan, who also was charged with possession of stolen property, was being held in the Eastern Regional Jail Monday night on $250,000 bond.
