The Harrisons

Bob and Ruth Francoise Harrison of Chambersburg, Pa., celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Friday, June 20, 2003, while enjoying a scenic tour of Ireland.

The Harrisons were married in 1953 in Larchmont, N.Y.

Mrs. Harrison is the daughter of the late William and Pauline Bu Dahn Juillerat. She is a graduate of Wilson College. She retired from Chambersburg Area School District.

Mr. Harrison is the son of the late Robert Sr. and Mabel (Garns) Harrison. He is a graduate of Gettysburg College. He is a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was employed by F&M Trust Co., where he retired as vice president-director of marketing for the bank. He also had established and managed radio stations in Bedford, Pa., and Everett, Pa., and was a stockbroker and bank trust investment officer.

The Harrisons pursue interests in art, music, history, drama and travel.

They have two daughters, Emily Weir of Northampton, Mass., and Susan Michalski of Chambersburg.


The Larsens

Raymond and Patricia Larsen recently returned home to find their deck and yard decorated with palm trees and 50 guests in Hawaiian dress. The Larsens were honored at a surprise 50th anniversary luau hosted by their daughters and spouses, Crissy and Sean Cline and Barb and Jeff Rippeon.

The Larsens were married June 6, 1953, at Holy Redeemer Church in Warren, Pa.

Mrs. Larsen is a homemaker and former 4-H leader.

Mr. Larsen was in the U.S. Air Force and received an electrical engineering degree from Pennsylvania State University. He retired from Potomac Edison in 1993 after 33 years of service.

They have six grandchildren.
