Two charged in drug case

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Acting on an anonymous tip, West Virginia State Police troopers searched a Martinsburg motel room Friday night and found suspected heroin and crack cocaine, guns and cash, police said.

Two people were charged and cash was taken from a third person, who was not arrested, said Sgt. E.D. Burnett.

Eliseo Soto of 712 Wilson St. in Martinsburg, was charged with possession with intent to deliver controlled substances and being a felon in possession of a firearm, police said.

Kristi Cole of 3285 Greensburg Road in Martinsburg, was charged with possession with intent to deliver heroin and conspiracy to deliver crack cocaine and Xanax, police said.

Troopers T.C. Kearns and Kevin Plumer, both of whom are K-9 officers, searched Room 103 of the Comfort Inn on Edwin Miller Boulevard around 10 p.m. Friday and found 68 grams of suspected heroin and 177 grams of suspected crack cocaine, police said.

The suspected drugs are estimated to have a street value of $40,000.

Police also seized two loaded pistols and a sawed-off shotgun, along with $3,050 in cash, police said.
