Adam Kees Tournament


Halfway 5, South Mountain 1: Jason Hammond tossed a four-hitter as Halfway defeated South Mountain in the championship game. Matt Deike had two hits in the victory. Troy Hartle had two hits for South Mountain.




ADULT LEAGUE



Hagerstown Area Church Softball


Virginia Avenue 20, Otterbein 15: Jeff Mowen had four hits, while Jason Gladhill, Cliff Miles, Bill Green and Mike Shank each added three to lead Virginia Avenue. Kevin Walters, Kenny Hilker and Jay Johnson each had four hits for Otterbein.

St. James 18-14, Nazarene 6-4: Mike Starliper had three hits and Kyle Flook homered twice to lead St. James in the first game. Mike Hull had four hits and Flook hit two more home runs in the second game as St. James completed the doubleheader sweep.

Flip-Over Gymnastics


Martinsburg-Berkeley County Parks and Recreation is holding registration for "Flip-Over Gymnastics" for high school cheerleaders. Registration is open to all high schoolers, and classes are offered for all levels. For more information, call the M-BC Parks and Recreation office at 304-264-4842.

Diamond Force tryouts


The Diamond Force girls fastpitch softball team will be holding open tryouts for the 2004 season for 10-, 12-, 14-, 16- and 18-under teams on Aug. 20 from 6-8:30 p.m. and Aug. 23-24 from 2-5 p.m. at the South Hamilton ballpark on Warm Spring Road in Chambersburg, Pa.
