Dorothy A. Binkley

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. -Dorothy A. Binkley, 81, of Falling Spring Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, and formerly of South Third Street, died Saturday, July 19, 2003, at the center.

Born April 12, 1922, in Greencastle, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Charles E. and Mildred Swope Myers.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde A. Binkley, in 1996.

She had been employed by H.J. Heinz Co. in Chambersburg.

She is survived by two sons, Dennis Alexander of Chambersburg and Terry Binkley of Philadelphia; one brother, Donald Leininger of Chambersburg; one grandson; and three nieces.

She was preceded in death by one son, Robert Binkley; and one brother, Kenneth Leininger.

Graveside services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Chambersburg. The Rev. Stuart Troutman will officiate.

Arrangements are by Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg.

Vincent J. DeLucia

BERLIN, Md. - Vincent J. "Jim" DeLucia, 85, of Berlin, and formerly of Hagerstown, passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2003, at Howard County General Hospital in Columbia, Md.


Born on Nov. 3, 1917, in New York, he was the son of the late Santo and Maria Lombardo DeLucia.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian J. (Sorge) DeLucia.

He was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Hagerstown, before moving to Berlin.

He was a member of Knights of Columbus-Pangborn Council 1365.

He is survived by three daughters, Rosemary Boglino of Florida, Karen DeLucia of Virginia and Dolores Ercolino of New York; a sister, Louise Fillippi of New York; grandchildren, Linda, Vincent, Arthur, Thom and Paul; and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Rose Sorge; and a brother, Ray DeLucia.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2003, at noon in Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown. The Rev. John Kightlinger will officiate. Entombment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Brain and Stroke Rehabilitation Center, c/o Kernan Medical Center, 220 Kernan Drive, Baltimore, MD 21207.

Grace N. Rockwell

ROUZERVILLE, Pa. - A memorial service for Grace N. "Gracie" Line Rockwell, 85, of Snyder Avenue, who died Sunday, July 20, 2003, will be held Tuesday, July 29, at 6 p.m. at Ringgold Church of Christ, Hagerstown. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.

It was her request to have no public viewing.

Arrangements are by Cumberland Valley Crematorium, Waynesboro.

Zachary J. Burger

Zachary Joseph Burger, 19, of 13224 Little Antietam Road, Hagerstown, passed away Saturday, July 19, 2003, at Washington County Hospital.

Born in Hagerstown on Thursday, April 5, 1984, he was the son of Robert "Joe" and Susie (Miller) Burger of Hagerstown.

He was a 2002 graduate of Smithsburg High School, where he was a member of the marching and jazz bands and was also a member of the tennis and wrestling teams.

He was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Chewsville; and Boy Scouts of America. He was a certified lifeguard through the American Red Cross, and also was certified as an Emergency Medical Technician.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by sister, Emily Jean Burger of Hagerstown; maternal grandmother, Jean Miller of Hagerstown; paternal grandmother, Janet Custer of Hagerstown; paternal grandfather, George J. Burger of Baltimore; maternal great-grandmother, Ethel Browning of Williamsport; and paternal great-grandmother, Mae Walters of Hagerstown. He is also survived by numerous aunts; uncles; and cousins.

Services will be held at Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown, on Friday, July 25, 2003, at 10 a.m. with the Rev. John W. Schildt officiating.

Interment will be at Greenhill Cemetery in Waynesboro, Pa.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home.

Richard E. Codori

SMITHSBURG - Richard "Buddy" "Rich" Codori, 72, of Edgemont Road, who died July 20, 2003, also is survived by four grandchildren.

Shirley A. Reasner

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Shirley A. Reasner, 68, of 223 E. McKinley St., died Tuesday, July 22, 2003, at her home.

Born April 10, 1935, in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of the late Grover Cleveland and Lydia Maria Henthorne Gontz.

She retired in 1995 as a seamstress from Stanley Clothing Co. in Chambersburg, after 35 years of employment.

She was a member of Charles Nitterhouse VFW Post 1599 Ladies Auxiliary of Chambersburg; and Marine Corps League Ladies Auxiliary of Chambersburg.
