Tonight's film, "The Flute Player," tells the story of Arn Chorn-Pond, a Cambodian American who as a boy was imprisoned in labor camps and forced by the brutal Khmer Rouge regime to play propaganda songs on the flute. He lost much of his family in the 1970s genocide that targeted Cambodia's educated classes. He now returns to Cambodia periodically in an effort to find the few surviving masters of traditional Cambodian music and coax them back to their instruments.
