Suns lose fifth straight

July 21, 2003

EASTLAKE, Ohio - The Hagerstown Suns once again couldn't get the big hit when they needed it as the Lake County Captains sent the Suns to their fifth straight loss, 2-1 on Saturday.

The Suns missed out on two prime scoring opportunities early in the game, failing to score with runners on first and second and none out in the second and runners at the corners with one out in the third.

The Suns got the first run of the game in the fourth on Brian Munhall's RBI double, while Glenn Woolard faced the minimum number of Lake County hitters through four.

The Captains broke through in the fifth when Eric Johnson led off with a homer to left. Michael Aubrey and Bryan Kent singled and Aubrey moved to third on a fielder's choice before scoring on Ricardo Rojas' slow grounder to third.
