Catherine Ann Linetty


On July 19, 2003, Catherine Ann, devoted mother of Christopher Linetty; dear sister of Johnny and Daniel Rogers, and the late Veronica Rogers; loving grandmother of her only grandson, Ryan Christopher Linetty; dear niece of Robert and Shirley Yonkee, and Joanne Taylor.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather at Miller-Dippel Funeral Home Inc., 6415 Belair Road, Baltimore, on Monday from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday due notice of time. Interment will be in Parkwood Cemetery.

R. Elizabeth Toms


QUINCY, Pa. - R. Elizabeth Toms, 85, a resident of Quincy Village, and formerly of 237 S. Church St. in Waynesboro, Pa., died Sunday, July 20, 2003, at her home.

Born Nov. 19, 1917, in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of the late Ira L. and Nellie Ruthrauff Wingert.

She was a 1936 graduate of Waynesboro High School and a 1938 graduate of Waynesboro Business School.

Prior to retiring on Jan. 1, 1983, she was a bookkeeper for Dr. Richard Smith in Hagerstown, with 11 years of service.

She was a member of Waynesboro Church of the Brethren, where she was a member of the Homebuilders Sunday School class and sang in the choir.

She was a member of Quincy United Methodist Home Ladies Auxiliary; National AARP; South Chapter 2977 AARP, Waynesboro; and sang with the Cumberland Valley Choristers of Hagerstown.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, John C. "Jack" Toms; one son, Michael J. Toms of Waynesboro; two granddaughters; and one niece.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Laban R. Wingert; one infant sister; and one infant brother.

Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Waynesboro Church of the Brethren. Pastor James M. Lucas and Chaplain Daniel F. Derk will officiate. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Waynesboro Church of the Brethren Sound System Fund, 117 S. Church St., Waynesboro, PA 17268.




James R. Cutchall


HUSTONTOWN, Pa. - James Robert "Bob" Cutchall, 78, of North Clear Ridge Road, died Friday, July 18, 2003, at Latrobe (Pa.) Area Hospital.

Born Aug. 21, 1924, in Taylor Township, Pa., he was the son of the late Berlyn E. and G. Maye Huston Cutchall.

His wife, Jo Nell Roney Cutchall, died Jan. 13, 2003. They were married Jan. 29, 1946.

He retired from New Enterprise Stone and Lime Co. as the general superintendent of Union Equipment Inc. in Warfordsburg, Pa.

He was a member of the Hustontown Sewer Authority.

He was a veteran of World War II, receiving the Purple Heart.

He was a member of Knobsville Church of the Brethren.

He was a member of Forbes Road Lions Club; American Legion Post 561 and Mount Zion Free and Accepted Masons Lodge 774, both in McConnellsburg, Pa.; Standing Stone VFW Post 1754, Huntingdon, Pa.; and the Harrisburg (Pa.) Consistory.

He is survived by two daughters, Linda Shaw of Hustontown, and Mary J. Brown of Orbisonia, Pa.; one sister, Lois Foreman of McConnellsburg; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Carl Cutchall; and one grandson.

Services will be Tuesday at 3 p.m. at M.R. Brown Funeral Home, Hustontown. Pastor Chris Elliott will officiate. Burial will be in Hustontown Cemetery, where the Fulton County Honor Guard will conduct military graveside services.

Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from noon to 3 p.m. at the funeral home.




Rosalie A. Cannon


FREDERICK, Md. - Rosalie Ann Cannon, 65, of Frederick, died Sunday, July 20, 2003, at her home.

Born July 15, 1938, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of Helen H. Harper Long of Falling Waters, W.Va., and the late Carl S. Marshall.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lybert P. Cannon.

She is survived by three daughters, Wanda L. Danner of Brunswick, Md., Violet Cannon-Hurley of Thurmont, Md., and Alice E. Cameron of Yellow Springs, Md.; one sister, Mary J. Koontz of Funkstown; one brother, William D. Long of Martinsburg, W.Va.; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; five stepgreat-grandchildren; and her special friend, Marshall Hooper.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Stauffer Funeral Home, Frederick. Pastor Elmer Breeden Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Yellow Springs.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Frances C. Bradshaw


MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Frances C. Bradshaw, 90, of Martinsburg, died Sunday, July 20, 2003, at her home.

Born Aug. 4, 1912, in Jefferson County, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Robert Wright and Lula Pearle Dunaway Clendening.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Bradshaw Jr.
