County will contribute to CSAFE

July 16, 2003|by TARA REILLY

The Washington County Commissioners on Tuesday made a $45,000 contribution to the former HotSpot Communities program.

The commissioners agreed to give the money to the program, now called Cooperative Supervision and Focused Enforcement (CSAFE), regardless of whether the City of Hagerstown contributes the same amount.

The commissioners voted a week ago on whether to contribute $45,000, but there was some confusion over whether the county contribution depended upon the city giving the same amount.
