Eight new employees introduced at commissioners meeting

Washington County Acting Human Resources Director Dee Hawbaker introduced eight new employees to the County Commissioners at Tuesday's meeting.

Corinne Stone and Sharon Hollar were hired as office associates in the State's Attorney's Office. Thomas Kline was hired as a project coordinator for the Washington County Community Partnership for Children and Families.

Keith Small has been hired as an operator at the Department of Water Quality, and Mike Wilhelm was hired as a full-time work crew supervisor with the Alternative Sanctions Department of the State's Attorney's Office.

Brian Shifflett Sr., Norman Forsythe and Ryan Mauck were hired as deputies at the Washington County Detention Center.

County Commissioners vote to fill two positions

The Washington County Commissioners on Tuesday voted to fill an office associate's position in the Transportation Department.


Commissioners Vice President William J. Wivell opposed the move.

The position's salary range is $23,808 to $38,093 a year.

The County Commissioners also voted to fill a procurement specialist position in the Purchasing Department.

Wivell also opposed that action.

The procurement specialist's salary range is $27,770 to $44,431 a year.
