Meetings televised more often

July 08, 2003|by SCOTT BUTKI

Starting with the July 8 Hagerstown City Council meeting, Hagerstown residents will have two more chances a week to watch council meetings on television, spokeswoman Karen Giffin said.

The meetings have been televised live since early April.

Now the meetings will be shown live and then shown again Thursday at 7 p.m. and Saturday at 9 a.m., she said.

The $86,000 cost for the equipment, its installation and training for its use were paid for by Antietam Cable Television as part of its franchise agreement with the city, Giffin said.
