District 1 11 & 12 All-Stars

Clear Spring 5, Hancock 4: Sam Mills had two hits for Clear Spring, while Bradley Jordan drove in the game-winning run on a sacrifice fly. Josh Hall struck out seven for Hancock.

American 3, Hancock 2: Demetrius Stubbs and Nic Martin each had two hits for American.

American 8, Federal 3: Justin Myer and Billy Springirth both had two hits for American, while Demetrius Stubbs had two hits, including a home run. Jeremy Barron had two home runs for Federal.

Valley 7, PVAA 6: Patrick Solberg struck out seven for Valley, while Stephen Grossman had two hits, including a home run, and Elliott Martin added a two-run home run. Cory Taylor had two hits and two RBI for PVAA.

South Mountain 9, Frostburg 5: Josh Smith pitched a complete game, striking out five for South Mountain. Adam Chambers added two hits. Brandon Minncik homered for Frostburg, while John Richards had two hits.


Sharpsburg 6, National 0: Seth Poffenberger homered and Cody Snavley had two hits for Sharpsburg, while A.J. Jamison threw a five-hit shutout with nine strikeouts. James Jordan had two hits for National, while Adrian Adams struck out 11.

Maugansville 10, Oakland 5: Kyle Walters had eight strikeouts, while Corey Morgan and Brent Bell each added two hits for Maugansville. Ryan Sweitzer homered twice for Oakland.

Halfway 9, West End 3: Kyle Stone had four hits, Andrew Duff had three hits and Aaron Stotelmyer and Mike Warrenfeltz each had two hits for Halfway. J.J. O'Neill and Dwight Boward homered for West End. O'Neill struck out eight.

Smithsburg 7-8 Tournament

Hamilton Nissan 17, Northeast 14: Corey Scharenbroch, Matt Stevens, Ryan Bolton, Eric Bittner and Kyle Dinterman each had three hits for Hamilton Nissan, while Richie Rostek, Adam Peters and Alek Redenbo all had two hits.

Smithsburg 6, Prince George's 2: Cody Blickenstaff had three hits, Brad Ridenour had two hits, Tyler Atkins struck out seven for Smithsburg.


Funkstown 11-17, Winchester 2-4: Jeremy McAfee two hits and five RBI to lead Funkstown in the first game of a doubleheader. Patrick Hutzler also had two hits and Jordan Beard drove in two runs in the opener.

Beard had three hits, including a home run, and five RBI as Funkstown completed the doubleheader sweep. Justin Weaver also homered and drove in four runs, while Orland Dean and Hutzler each added two hits.
