O'Neill Physical Therapy Services


Lorraine O'Neill, physical therapist and owner of O'Neill Physical Therapy Services in Hagerstown, was recently reappointed as the Maryland representative to the Section on Women's Health of the American Physical Therapy Association.

The Section on Women's Health focuses on health issues of primary importance to women including incontinence, pelvic pain, pregnancy-related issues and osteoporosis.

The First National Bank of Greencastle


GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Kim Shockey, manager of the Waynesboro Office of The First National Bank of Greencastle, recently attended the Branch Management School at Penn State Harrisburg.

The six-week course focused on profitable branch banking.

Shockey, of Waynesboro, Pa., joined The First National Bank of Greencastle in November 1998 and manages the office at 232 E. Main St., Waynesboro.

Surrey Child Care Center


Charles Wainwright, director of Surrey Child Care Center in Hagerstown, has been awarded the National Administrator credential in recognition of devotion to the child care profession, commitment to the care of children and successfully demonstrating mastery of child care administrative skills.

The National Child Care Association awarded the credential.

Nine employees of Surrey Child Care Center have been awarded the Child Development Associate credential in recognition of outstanding work with young children. They are Michele Feigley, Shelley Kelley, Laura Gossard, Sherry Shank, Sandra Myers, Stephanie Angle, Pamela Saum, Christine Millman and Janet Snodderly.

The credential was awarded by the Council for Professional Recognition in Washington.

Hagerstown-Washington County Economic Development Commission


Stephen L. Christian is the new business development specialist with the Hagerstown-Washington County Economic Development Commission.

Christian fills a position created when the commission reorganized last October to enhance its business recruitment and retention efforts. He will serve in a professional sales capacity, responsible for implementing marketing initiatives to attract new business and industry to Washington County.

Smith is a competitive bodybuilder and professional wrestler. He specializes in healthy lifestyle changes and nutrition/weight management.

Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Hagerstown has recognized its top agents for April and May.

For April, Claire O'Connell was the top sales associate by settled volume and settled units.

Cynthia Moller was the top listing sales associate by volume and by units, and the top selling sales associate by volume. Laurel Walker of the Glocker Group was the top Selling Sales Associate by units.

For May, Moler was the top listing sales associate by volume; Suzanne Glocker of the Glocker Group was the top listing sales associate by units; Gary Glocker of the Glocker Group was the top selling sales associate by volume; and Tom Test of the Horn/Test Real Estate Team was the top selling sales associate by units.

Gary Glocker also was the top sales associate by settled volume, and Test was the top sales associate by settled units.

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - The Chambersburg office of Jack Gaughen Realtor ERA designated three Agents of the Month for May.

Tim Smith of Chambersburg won for the 11 Years of Service and Over category.

Jeff George of Chambersburg won in the 2 Through 10 Years of Service category.

Tammi Hennessy of Chambersburg won in the New Agent through One Full Year of service category.

Nancy Thacher has joined the staff of Star Community Inc. of Hagerstown, formerly Anita Lynne Home Inc., as human resources director.

Thacher was previously executive assistant and human resources manager for Montgomery County Family Services Agency Inc.

Margaret Lowery has joined the Star staff as residential director. Lowery was most recently employed by The Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene as a rights adviser.

Shawn Sesa and Richard Richmond have joined the staff of Star Ventures, the day program of Star Community. Richmond recently became the leader of the recycling crew, having held other positions since October 2001.

Elizabeth Renninger of Hagerstown recently joined The Longaberger Co. as an independent sales associate.

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Lutheran Home Care Services has named Patricia Wingert Martin Employee of the Month for May.

Martin, Hospice RN case manager in the Fulton County office, has been with the agency for two years.

She lives near Mercersburg, Pa.

In addition, Lutheran Home Care Services has named Dale Frierson of Fairfield, Pa., the Employee of the Month for June.

Frierson, physical therapist for the Adams County, Pa., office, has been with the agency for 3 1/2 years.

Gregory J. White has been appointed vice president of Callas Contractors Inc. in Hagerstown.

White is a registered professional engineer and has been involved in engineering and construction for more than 30 years.

Kelly Gillispie was appointed project manager.
