Elks 6, FOP 5: Austin Barkdoll had two hits, including a home run, while Jeremy Martin had two hits and Jason Sutherland hit the game-winning single for Elks. Chris Selby and Andrew Blickenstaff homered for FOP.

American Little League

FOP 2, Thompson's Concrete 0: Michael Hill had two hits for FOP.

Goodwill 7, Thompson's Concrete 1: Anthony Lee had three hits for Goodwill, while Caesar Smith had two hits and Michael Russ pitched a two-hitter. Ashlee Ernde had both of Thompson's hits.

Federal Little League

Rotary 6, Kiwanis 3: Cody Nelling and Tyler Presgraves combined to pitch a two-hitter for Rotary.

Conococheague LL

Redmen 5, Byers' Market 3: Austin Taylor and Steve Siler combined on a two-hitter and Jesse Buchman had two hits for Redmen.


Hagerstown Church Softball

St. James 28, Christ Lutheran 19: Kyle Flook had two home runs and Alan Moore homered for St. James. Clair Horst and Jeff Kelley each had six hits for Christ Lutheran, while Andy Koontz had four hits.


Otterbein 22, Bethel 11: Kevin Walters had five hits, Ed Plank had four hits and Jay Johnson homered for Otterbein.


Team Maryland beats Ohio

NORMAN, Okla. - Nick Bowen (Chesapeake) and Tony Williams (Northeast) each had three hits as Maryland beat Ohio at the Sunbelt Classic tournament.

Maryland (3-2) is tied for third in the team standings and was scheduled to play Georgia and Arizona on Friday.

T.J. Hose (North Hagerstown) was the hard-luck loser Wednesday, giving up two unearned runs in relief in a 4-3 loss to Florida.
