Shawna Wilkes

Catoctin, Senior, Pitcher

Led Cougars to 20-1 record and appearance in Md. Class 1A state semifinals. Went 13-0 with 0.07 ERA during regular season, striking out 141 in 92 innings while allowing just one earned run.


Emily Warrenfeltz

Middletown, Senior, Pitcher

Knights' ace finished 7-1 with a 0.63 ERA, allowing 36 hits and 14 walks in 56 innings.

Susan West

James Buchanan, Junior, Pitcher

Rockets' ace went 12-5 with a 1.14 ERA, striking out 161 in 103 2/3 innings while walking only 11. Pitched perfect game vs. Biglerville.

Jessica Detrick

Berkeley Springs, Senior, Catcher

Leader of Indians' squad which reached W.Va. Class AA semifinals. Batted .418 with 15 doubles and 26 RBI. Also a defensive standout, gunning down 19 of 23 basestealers and picking off another 14.

Lauren Ballenger

Jefferson, Senior, First Base

Cougars' leading hitter batted .449 with seven doubles, two triples and 26 RBI.

Kaylie Mellott

Southern Fulton, Junior, Second Base

Consistent bat at the top of Indians' lineup. Batted .447, scored 15 runs and stole six bases.

Kendall Blumenthal

Frederick, Freshman, Third Base

Outstanding freshman batted .458 with three triples and 15 RBI while stealing five bases for Cadets.

Jenna Clark

Hedgesville, Junior, Shortstop

Slugger proved her worth in the middle of Eagles' lineup, batting .458 with seven doubles, five triples, 27 runs scored and 12 steals.

Sara Albright

Musselman, Junior, Outfielder

Put together an eye-popping offensive campaign for the Applemen, batting .490 with eight doubles, 12 triples, seven homers and 30 RBI while scoring an unbelievable 61 runs.

LeEllen Lewis

Brunswick, Junior, Outfielder

Railroaders' leadoff hitter batted .569 with three doubles, two triples, two homers and 20 runs scored.

Abby Burtner

Middletown, Senior, Outfielder

Knights' leading hitter batted .471 with four doubles, two homers, 12 RBI and 26 runs scored.

Jen Swartz

Chambersburg, Senior, Designated Hitter

Trojans' No. 3 hitter batted .373 with two doubles, four triples, two homers, 18 RBI and 19 runs scored in tough Mid-Penn Commonwealth.

Jamie Poffenberger

Clear Spring, Senior, Utility

Blazers' leader batted .512 with 17 RBI and 15 runs scored. Reached base almost two-thirds of the time (.657 on-base pct.).

Coach of the Year

Amy Hunt, Catoctin

Guided Cougars to undefeated regular season (17-0) and an appearance in the Md. Class 1A semifinals.
