Franklin Tech Center forms alumni group

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Rob Baughman, president and general manager of Interstate Truck Equipment Inc. of Hagerstown, was elected president of the newly formed alumni association of the Franklin County Career and Technology Center.

Baughman is a 1973 graduate of the school where he was a machining student.

Interstate Truck Equipment employs eight graduates of the school, all of whom have become members of the alumni association.

Other officers of the association include Kristi Tanner, a Franklin County domestic relations officer, vice president; Amy Tanner, a substitute classroom teacher, secretary; Bobbi Jo Ruby-Johnson, a receptionist at the Center for Dermatology and Maxillary Surgery in Chambersburg, Pa., assistant secretary; and Rodney B. Smith, president and owner of Rodney B. Smith Plumbing, Heating and Cooling Inc. of Chambersburg, treasurer.

Other members of the association board of directors are Michael Kulpak, owner and president of Fab Tech Industries Inc. in Greencastle, Pa.; Jamia Wright, Chambersburg assistant borough secretary; Toni Bokeko, a cosmetology instructor at the technology center; and Brandon Barnhart, a senior at Shippensburg University.
