June 13, 2003

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - A Hagerstown man was killed Thursday afternoon when his car was struck by a pickup truck at the intersection of Loudon Street and Monticello Court in Chambersburg, according to Franklin County Coroner Jeffrey R. Conner.

Frank William Henry, 69, of 20436 Kings Crest Blvd., was pronounced dead at 4:20 p.m. at Chambersburg Hospital, Conner said. The cause of death was multiple blunt force trauma, he said.

The accident happened at approximately 4 p.m. as a Ford Taurus LX driven by Henry and a Chevy Silverado collided.

Loudon Street, which is part of U.S. 30 inside the borough, was shut down between Federal Street and Sollenberger Road for about two hours while Chambersburg Police investigated the accident scene.

Conner said no autopsy will be performed on Henry.

Details of the accident, including the name of the driver of the other vehicle, were not released by Chambersburg police as of Thursday evening.
