Two die in apparenthomicide-suicide

FREDERICK, Md. - Frederick City Police said they believe a man shot his wife then shot himself late Thursday evening in the couple's home while their four children were upstairs.

Rosalie Ann Alico, 43, was found by police lying on a futon with multiple gunshot wounds on the first floor of 1909 Sawmill Court. Anthony Alico Jr. was found nearby with a single shot to the head, said Lt. Thomas Chase.

Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

One of the children called police at 11:35 p.m., Chase said. The children, who range in age from 5 to 14 years old, are staying with grandparents.

Chase said a 9 mm semiautomatic pistol was used in the shooting.

"This crime is totally consistent with a homicide-suicide," Chase said.
