Ronald A. Beverlin

ORBISONIA, Pa. - Ronald Arthur Beverlin, of HC 60, died Wednesday, June 4, 2003, at his home.

Born in Cumberland, Md., he was the son of the late Lawrence Arthur and Eloise Belle Kidwell Beverlin.

He attended continuing education programs and seminars.

As a minister, he served congregations in Tennessee, Maryland and Pennsylvania.

He was a member of Valley Point Church of the Brethren, Orbisonia.

He served on district committees and as undershepherd to new ministers in the mid-Atlantic District.

He is survived by his wife, Fay Joan Sadowsky Beverlin; four children, Marguerite L. Contretas, Madonna L. Wolfe, Cynthia Brown and Sue Leatherman; one sister, Sandra K. Martin; five grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one son, Lawrence A. Beverlin.

A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.

There will be no public viewing.

Larry A. Dick Sr.

Larry Allen Dick Sr., 55, of 11348 Lakeside Drive, Hagerstown, died Wednesday, June 4, 2003, at his home.

Born June 11, 1947, in Boonsboro, he was the son of the late Ralph Willard and Mary Edith McLucas Dick.

He attended Boonsboro High School.

He was employed as a truck driver for AC&T in Hagerstown.

He was a Protestant.

He was a member of Conococheague Tribe 84 Improved Order of Red Men of Williamsport; Sons of AMVETS of Falling Waters, W.Va. and Moose of Funkstown.

He is survived by his wife, Alice M. Bard Dick; two sons, Larry A. Dick Jr. of Boonsboro and Wayne E. Dick of Hagerstown; one stepdaughter, Liz Kitchen of Funkstown; five sisters, Edith V. Sliva of Oakdale, Calif., Pauline C. Minnick of Boonsboro, Wanda L. George of Lake Wales, Fla., Tawaka D. Shirah of Lowell, N.C. and Beverly A. Fisher of Cumberland, Md.; three brothers, Ralph R. Dick of Funkstown, Kenneth L. Dick and James L. Dick, both of Boonsboro; two granddaughters; 10 stepgrandchildren; 12 stepgreat-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one stepson, William Reyer Jr.

Graveside services will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Williamsport. The Rev. W. Bruce Dick will officiate.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Osborne Funeral Home, Williamsport, which will open at 9 a.m.

Glenn C. Highlands

MERCERSBURG, Pa. - Glenn C. Highlands, 65, of 4970 Carmack Court, died Tuesday, June 3, 2003, at Pinnacle Health/Polyclinic Hospital.

Born Jan. 21, 1938, in Guilford Township, Pa., he was the son of the late Carl and Belle Etter Highlands.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Billiee J. Bollinger Highlands, in 1995.

He was a member of Fetterhoff United Methodist Church.

He was a member of Mercersburg American Legion Post 517, Mercersburg Moose and the State Retired Employees Association.

He was employed for 41 years by the state in the Department of Transportation, retiring in 1996.

He is survived by one sister, Romaine Napier of Mercersburg, Pa.; one nephew; one niece; two great-nieces and two great-nephews.

Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Robert G. Sellers Funeral Home in Chambersburg. Pastor Phyllis Bard will officiate. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.




Marie M. Stottlemyer

BOONSBORO - Marie Myers Stottlemyer, 80, of 21330 National Pike, and of Reeders Memorial Home, died Thursday, June 5, 2003, at Washington County Hospital.

Born Aug. 10, 1922, in Mount Lena, she was the daughter of the late Russell Myers and Clarence H. and Rose Davis Myers Hoffman.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Eugene "Peck" Stottlemyer.

She was a self-employed hairdresser.

She was a member of Beaver Creek Christian Church, and taught Sunday school.

She is survived by two sons, Gregory L. Stottlemyer of Huntingtown, Md. and Dennis W. Stottlemyer of Stevensville, Md.; one brother, Ray L. Hoffman of Hagerstown; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Vera Onheiser; and three brothers, Carl Hoffman, Leon Hoffman and Earl Hoffman.

Services will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Bast Funeral Home, Boonsboro. The Rev. J. Mark Curran will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Lena Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home, which will open at noon.

Carlton L. Burt

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. - Carlton L. Burt, 67, of Battle Creek, and formerly of Cascade, died Tuesday, June 3, 2003.

He had been stationed at Fort Ritchie in Cascade.
