BOLIVAR, W.Va. - Voters in Bolivar will head to the polls today to select five Town Council members from a field of 12 candidates.

There are no candidates for mayor in today's race, said council member Robert M. Stewart Jr.

Tim Collins resigned as mayor in March, but his name will be on the ballot because of the timing of his resignation, Stewart said.

Council member Jenny Bruell was appointed to the mayor's position after Collins stepped down, Stewart said.

In addition to Bruell, the incumbents running for re-election include Stewart, Eric Eisenman, Scott Whetsel and John Paul Hafer.

The remaining candidates are Scott Biller, Clarke Draper, Marty Qually, Ronald Rodgers, Mary Rutherford, Bob Brockman and Fred Ethan Fischer.

All voting will be conducted at the town's community center on Panama Street. Ballots can be cast from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
