Mildred C. Amsley

Mildred C. Malott Amsley, 77, of 18650 Amanda Lane, Hagerstown, died Thursday, May 22, 2003, at her home.

She was born July 18, 1925.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Oscar Stoner.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Amsley; seven children, Sharon Springer, Ozzie Stoner and Robert Stoner, all of Hagerstown, Kenny Stoner of Chandler, Ariz., Brian Stoner of Falling Waters, W.Va., and Lori Jerrell and Lana Helvie, both of Indiana; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

Burial will be private.

There will be no public viewing.

Maryth D. Robinson

Maryth Dian McCall Robinson, 61, of Hagerstown, died Thursday, May 29, 2003, at Washington County Hospital.

Born March 5, 1942, in New York City, she was the daughter of Lulu Mildred Bunch of Severn, Md.


She is survived by her husband, Robert Robinson; three daughters, Rebekah Robinson, Jennifer Green and Jesynah Green; three sons, Timothy Cruz, Peter Robinson and Martin Robinson; two sisters, Cynthia Coleman and Casey Hodges; three brothers, Terrence McCall, Norman McCall and Jack Bunch; and 11 grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held today at 2 p.m. in Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, Hagerstown. Pastor John Koontz will officiate.

Lillian F. Colletta

GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Lillian F. Colletta, 78, of 6986 Guitner Road, died Thursday, May 29, 2003, at Falling Spring Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Chambersburg, Pa.

Born Oct. 9, 1924, in Oak Ridge, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late George W. and Gracie Richforth Fiscus.

Early in her life, she was employed as an executive secretary.

She was a member of Upper West Conococheague Presbyterian Church in Mercersburg, Pa., where she was an ordained elder, church secretary and historian and had taught adult Sunday school class.

She was a member of Taliaserro Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution of Georgetown, Ohio; a member and past regent of Franklin County Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution; a member, former head of the genealogical library and former president of Kittochtinny Historical Society; a member and past president of Chambersburg Beagle Club; and a writer of "Tombstones of Brown County Ohio," which she co-authored, and "Franklin County Footnotes," which she published.

She is survived by her husband, Victor J. Colletta, whom she married March 25, 1946; a sister, Tomaline Hawthorne of Bushkill, Pa.; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers.

Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Upper West Conococheague Presbyterian Church, Mercersburg. The Revs. Michael K. Miller and Ralph L. Fry Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Mercersburg.

Visitation will be Tuesday from noon to 2 p.m. at the church.

Jane E. Smith

Jane Eaton Hostetter Smith, 80, of 1158 Luther Drive, Hagerstown, passed away Friday, May 30, 2003, at Washington County Hospital.

Born in Hagerstown, on Wednesday, Sept. 13, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Raymond B. and Jane Elizabeth Eaton Hostetter.

She was the widow of William T. Smith, who passed away in 1993 after 48 years of marriage.

She graduated from Hagerstown High School in 1939 and worked for Fairchild Aircraft from 1942 until 1983. After retirement she lived in Titusville, Fla., until 1997.

She is survived by son Eric L. Smith of Hagerstown; son Steven A. Smith of Titusville; and sister Ruth E. Hopkins of Newville, Pa. She also is survived by five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Eva Dirschel of Baltimore.

Services will be Monday, June 2, at 11 a.m. at Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown. Interment will be at Rose Hill Cemetery, Hagerstown.

The family will receive friends Monday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.

Robert W. Gracey

WATERFALL, Pa. - Robert William Gracey, 72, of Hoover Road, died Thursday, May 29, 2003, in Fulton County, Pa.

Born July 2, 1930, in Wells Township, Pa., he was the son of the late Raymond and Velma Henry Gracey.

He was a 1948 graduate of Hustontown High School.

He retired from PBS Coal Co. in Somerset, Pa., where he was a heavy equipment operator.

He served in the U.S. Marine Corps.

He attended Dublin Mills Community Church in Hustontown, Pa., and Fairview United Methodist Church in Harrisonville, Pa.

He was a member of the National Rifle Association, the National Wild Turkey Federation and the Fulton County Sportsmen's League and was director of the New Enterprise Rural Electric Cooperative.
