Getting ready for graduation

May 26, 2003

'Tis the season for graduations.

Washington County Public Schools spokeswoman Carol Mowen shared a a few tips for making the long-awaited event a special one:

  • If you bring small children, also bring a coloring book or something for them to do during the ceremony, which can get lengthy at the larger high schools.

  • Keep in mind that it could get warm during the ceremony. If the weather is hot, bring something to fan yourself.

  • When you take a photograph of that special moment, don't be shy. Come down to the front because the flash won't work well from the back of the auditorium.
