CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - The master gardeners of the Penn State Cooperative Extension in Franklin County will hold their annual plant sale at 5:30 p.m. Friday, May 30, at the demonstration gardens on Franklin Farm Lane in Chambersburg.

A wide variety of plants will be available at the master gardeners' plant sale, including perennials and shrubs. All plants being sold have been raised in the area, and many are divisions taken from the local volunteers' gardens.

Master gardeners are also soliciting plants for the sale. Volunteers are available to dig the plants from contributors' gardens.

Proceeds from the sale will be used for master garden projects within Cooperative Extension operations, including classes, demonstration gardens and other projects to benefit the public.

Educational displays will be available at the sale, with information on the plants being sold. Purchasers will be able to learn what conditions their plant requires, including light, soil and exposure, and will be given information about the mature size of the plant.
