Children's Village to host safety event for kids

May 21, 2003

Fun will be mixed with serious life safety concerns at this year's 12th annual Kids Alive Fest At Children's Village of Washington County on Saturday, June 7.

The noon to 4 p.m. event at the campus at 1546 Mount Aetna Road is free and open to all, according to Rochelle Morrell, director for development.

There will be a magician, child fingerprinting, Power of Fire House tours, a Maryland Correctional Institution K-9 demonstration, the Washington County Volunteer Fire and Rescue safety trailer along with a "celebrity" dunking booth.

A bike raffle, music by WAYZ and food will be part of the festivities.

This year's sponsors are Hagerstown Trust Company and Waypoint Bank.

Children's Village is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing free life safety education to all elementary school children in Washington County.
