Sylvester-Malcolm


Jennifer Sylvester and Matt Malcolm announce their engagement.

Ms. Sylvester is the daughter of Roy Sylvester of Clear Spring and Tami Rohrer of Smithsburg. She is a 1996 graduate of Clear Spring High School and is attending Hagerstown Business College, where she plans to graduate in April 2004 as a certified medical assistant.

Mr. Malcolm is the son of Bill and Carol Malcolm of Smithsburg. He is a 1995 graduate of Smithsburg High School. He is employed as a heavy equipment mechanic for National Equipment Service and works part time as an emergency medical technician with Community Rescue Service. He also is a volunteer firefighter for Smithsburg Community Volunteer Fire Co. He plans to pursue a career as a full-time paramedic in the fall.

A spring 2004 wedding is planned.




Webb-Tso


Leon and Joyce Schill of Williamsport, along with Thomas and Wendy Webb of Alexandria, Va., announce the engagement of their daughter, Tamsen Marie Webb, to Tommy Che Ping Tso, son of Mau and Kam Tso of Hagerstown.

Miss Webb is a 2000 graduate of Boonsboro High School and received an associate of applied science degree from Hagerstown Community College in 2002. She is employed as an elementary teacher at Gateway Christian Academy in Williamsport.

Mr. Tso is a 1999 graduate of Boonsboro High School and plans to receive a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from University of Maryland this year.

An early 2004 wedding is planned.




Carbaugh-Dodson


Alieta Jean Carbaugh and Myrle Eugene Dodson of Hagerstown announce their engagement.

Miss Carbaugh is the daughter of Eileene and George Carbaugh of Hagerstown. She is a 2000 graduate of Washington County Technical High School and completed a 90-hour course at Hagerstown Community College. She is employed as a child care assistant with Hagerstown Children's School.

Mr. Dodson is the son of Kim Park of Williamsport and Melvin Dodson of Funkstown. He is a 2000 graduate of Washington County Technical High School. He is employed as an electrical reconstructive technician with ASR in Hagers-town.

A September 2004 wedding is planned.




Moran-Day


Bob and Eileen Cahill and John Moran announce the engagement of their daughter, Devon M. Moran, to Shawn L. Day, son of Danny and Colleen Day.

Ms. Moran is a 1998 graduate of Pope John XXIII Regional High School in Sparta, N.J., and received a bachelor of science degree in elementary education from Mount St. Mary's College in May 2002. She is employed as a fifth-grade teacher at Woodfield Elementary School in Damascus, Md.

Mr. Day is a 1999 graduate of Governor Thomas Johnson High School in Frederick, Md., and received a bachelor of arts degree in rhetoric and communications from Mount St. Mary's College in 2002. He is a freelance writer.

An Aug. 23 wedding is planned.




Dugan-Yellott


Elizabeth Dugan of Hagerstown announces the engagement of her daughter, Meagan F. Dugan, to Francis "Frank" M. Yellott III of Smithsburg.

Ms. Dugan is a 2001 graduate of Smithsburg High School and is pursuing a degree in criminal justice at Hagerstown Community College.

Mr. Yellott is a 2001 graduate of Smithsburg High School. He is an assistant manager at Waffle House in Frederick, Md.

An August wedding is planned.




Kane-Dell


Julie and Stephen Kane of Martinsburg, W.Va., announce the engagement of their daughter, Ginette Nicholle Kane, to Daniel Frank Alexander Dell II, son of Susan and Daniel Dell of Martinsburg.

Ms. Kane is a 1999 graduate of Hedgesville High school and plans to receive a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Shepherd College this month.

Mr. Dell is a 1999 graduate of Hedgesville High School and plans to receive a bachelor's degree in history and political science and teacher certification from Bridgewater College this month.

A June 14 wedding is planned.
