More than 500 customers were without power Friday morning in the Greenbrier area and 71 lost power in Boonsboro, an Allegheny Power spokeswoman said.

By Friday afternoon power was restored to all but 12 customers, a spokeswoman said. It was expected that power would be restored to the rest of the customers by today.

Spokeswoman Tara Curtis said power went out about 9 a.m. for 557 customers on San Mar Road, Mount Lena Road, U.S. 40 west and Greenbrier Road after a tree limb fell on a power line. Power was restored to most of those affected at about 11 a.m., a spokeswoman said.

A truck hit a pole in the 300 block of South Main Street in Boonsboro about 8:40 a.m., knocking out power to 71 customers. Power was restored to all by noon, a company spokeswoman said.
