'Dateline NBC' pays tribute to Pauley

Kim Delaney, last seen in the early episodes of "CSI: Miami," returns as Diane Russell, the role she played on "NYPD Blue" for six seasons. For purposes of tonight's show, we haven't seen her recently because she's been working in the Special Victims Unit.

"Dateline NBC"

Anchor Jane Pauley, who is leaving NBC after 27 years, gets an official sendoff. Pauley, who says she may start her own TV-related business, became one of TV's most familiar faces as coanchor of "Today" for 13 years.

10 p.m. on PBS

"Independent Lens"

"Guns & Mothers" looks at the issue of gun violence through the eyes of women with opposing positions. Frances Davis of Brooklyn became an activist for gun control after all three of her sons were shot to death. Maria Heil of York County, Pa., leads a national pro-gun group known as Second Amendment Sisters.
