Replay of Board of Education budget on channel 99

A 60-minute compilation of the recent Washington County Board of Education budget presentation to the Washington County Commissioners will be broadcast on Antietam Cable Channel 99 today, Monday and Tuesday. The presentation detailing the FY 2004 Proposed General Fund Operating Budget was held April 8 at South Hagerstown High School.

The program will be broadcast during each day as follows: 8 a.m., 10 a.m., noon, 2 p.m., 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.

The video program includes excerpts from the public comments heard that evening. The program also includes information about the federal No Child Left Behind legislation.

The Washington County Commissioners' Budget Hearing for the county's FY 2004 Budget, which includes the Board of Education's allocation, will be held at the Kepler Theatre on the campus of Hagerstown Community College on Tuesday, beginning at 7 p.m.

The Judy Center hosting Kids' Spring Fun Fair

The Judy Center in collaboration with the Washington County Health Department is holding a Kids' Spring Fun Fair for Bester Elementary School Families with Children ages 3 to 6 years old on Saturday.

There will be an Interact Story Theater presenting two songbuilding workshops from 10 to 11:30 a.m. and 1 to 2:30 p.m.

Between these workshops there will be a catered lunch and fun activities for children. There also will be a nurse on site to share immunization information with parents, and other Judy Center partners will have information available about their services.
