A West Virginia woman was charged Friday in a two-count indictment with Medicaid fraud and felony insurance fraud, according to a press release from the Maryland Attorney General's Office.
Barbara Andreadis, 58, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., allegedly made false claims to the Maryland Medicaid program between April 1999 and December 2001, according to the press release. She allegedly said she had provided psychotherapy to patients through a Hancock, Md., business she operated when she had not.
Andreadis is charged with felony Medicaid fraud and felony insurance fraud, according to the press release. She operated the Crossroads Behavioral Therapy Center in Hancock.
