The Harrisons

Donald and Juanita Harrison celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Friday, Oct. 18, 2002.

Their daughter and spouse, Tami and Ken Lloyd of Martinsburg, W.Va., hosted a buffet dinner reception in their honor at Heritage Hall in Inwood, W.Va. A video highlighting the Harrisons' life together was screened. They renewed their wedding vows in a ceremony officiated by the Rev. Garry Felton.

The Harrisons were married Oct. 18, 1952, at Hedgesville Assembly of God Church, by the late Rev. James L. Pittman.

Mrs. Harrison is the former Juanita Murphy of Hedgesville, W.Va.

They have three grandchildren.

The Crowls

Harry and Doris Glenn Crowl of Windsor Farms Estates, near Boonsboro, celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary Saturday, Dec. 21, 2002.

They were married at the Crowl home in Gapland, Md., by the Rev. M.A. Younkins of Brownsville.

Mrs. Crowl retired in 1983 from Hanover Shoe Factory in Middletown, Md., after 40 years of service.


Mr. Crowl worked as an engineer on the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad, retiring in 1982. He was a baseball player for the Gapland ball team in the late 1940s and the early 1950s.

The Crowls are active gardeners and work in their church, the Brownsville Church of the Brethren.
