Greencastle-Antrim Chamber looking for more military photos

April 22, 2003

GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Holly Burkett, administrative assistant for the Greencastle-Antrim Chamber of Commerce, said Monday the Chamber still is looking for photographs of local servicemen and servicewomen serving in the war in Iraq to place in the Chamber office's front window at 217 E. Baltimore St.

The families of four local servicemen already have placed photos in the window, Burkett said.

They include the families of Matthew Jansen, 25, a 1997 Greencastle-Antrim High School graduate, now a helicopter crewman aboard an ammunition supply ship attached to the battle group of the aircraft carrier USS Harry Truman.

Jansen and his wife, Michelle, live in the Virginia Beach, Va., area.

Byron Ramey's photo was placed in the window by his family. Ramey, 27, is stationed in Kuwait in an Army military police unit.

The photographs of brothers Daniel and Adam Conrad, 24 and 18 respectively, have places in the Chamber window. Both are in the Air Force and both are stationed stateside.
