BRUNSWICK, Md. - Williamsport's Nick Adenhart improved to 4-0 on Monday by striking out 15 in an 11-1 one-hit victory over Brunswick.

Josh Bowers went 5-for-5 , including a home run and four RBI to lead the Willdcats (7-1) offensively. Ben Jordan had two hits and an RBI, while Andy Taylor added a two-run single in the third to extend the Wildcats' lead.

Matt Feldman drove in Brunswick's only run with a fourth-inning sacrifice fly.

Walkersville 14, Smithsburg 4

SMITHSBURG - Walkersville used four home runs in a 12-run third inning to overwhelm Smithsburg for a Monocacy Valley Athletic League victory.

Josh Harrison hit two home runs in the inning, including a grand slam, while Dustin Kolb had a three-run homer and Cole Kidwell added a solo shot for the Lions (3-3).


Wes Anderson pitched the complete game with seven strikeouts without allowing an earned run, while Josh Jacobson had three hits.

Catoctin 12, Middletown 9

THURMONT, Md. - Jason Johnson highlighted Catoctin's five-run fifth inning with a two-run homer to lift the Cougars past Middletown in an MVAL contest.

Will Delawter had three hits and five RBI, while Justus Yokum added two hits and scored four runs for Catoctin (5-2, 5-2).

N. Hagerstown 10, FSK 1

UNION BRIDGE, Md. - T.J. Hose had three hits - including a triple - and two RBI to lead North Hagerstown past Francis Scott Key in the MVAL.

Orland Dean pitched six innings, allowing just one run and fanning six before being relieved by Cole Bellon.

Bellon, Trevor Hullinger, Matt Tederick, Kyle Robinson and Danny Zamora each had two hits for the Hubs (3-5).

Jefferson 11, Urbana 0

URBANA, Md. - Jefferson turned three double plays en route to shutting out Urbana in five innings.

Seth Osbourn tossed a complete- game three-hitter, while adding two hits and three RBI for the Cougars (12-4).

David Pugh had three hits, while Jawaan Holmes, Gage Lebac, Shannon Cogan each added two each for Jefferson. Urbana (4-2) commifted five errors.

Goretti 16, St. James 3

ST. JAMES - Phil Dorsey gave St. Maria Goretti the early lead with a two-run home run in the first inning as the Gaels defeated St. James.

Goretti scored 10 runs on just three hits in the fourth to seal the game. The Gaels walked eight times in the inning.

Barrett Place led St. James (0-4) with two hits and an RBI.

Heritage 8-17, BCA 2-14

Joe Ellis had four hits, while Drew Kidd had three doubles in the nightcap as Heritage Academy swept Broadfording Christian in a mason Dixon Christian Conference doubleheader.

Jesse Latta, Zach Hartman and Josh Hoy each added two hits for Heritage (4-0) in the second game.

Allen Myers hit a three-run home run, but it wasn't enough to overcome 14 Lions errors.

In the opener, Joe Ellis led the Eagles with a double. Jon Bishop and John Lytle led Broadfording with three hits.

Martinsburg 6, Fort Hill 4

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Jeff Horst drove in four runs, including three on a bases-clearing double in the first, to pace Martinsburg to a Cumberland Valley Athletic League win over Fort Hill.

Horst's double staked winning pitcher Mark Richmond to a 3-0 lead. Horst also drove in the Bulldogs' fourth run with a sacrifice fly in the third. Martinsburg (7-1, 2-0) scored the winning runs in the fourth on a pair of bases-loaded walks.

Brandon Armentrout had two hits and scored twice for the Bulldogs.

Greencastle 3, Boiling Springs 2

GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Nate Kopp drove in the winning run in the bottom of the seventh to lift Greencastle.

Bobby Group struck out seven and while allowing one run on four hits and a walk.

Jared Barkdoll went 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBI for the Blue Devils (7-2).

Waynesboro 5, Shippensburg 0

WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Phil Woodring had two hits and two runs to lead Waynesboro to a Mid-Penn Commonwealth win. Winning pitcher A.J. Freelove struck out seven for Waynesboro.

Heights Acad. 18, Highland View 3

Brian Childs took his second loss as Highland View falls to 1-2.

Grace 17, Carroll Christian 13

Pitcher Darren Sweeney went 3-for-4 with three RBI to lead Grace Academy's 14-hit attack in a victory over Carroll Christian.

Jordan Hanft went 3-for-4, Mark Derby went 2-for-4 and Eric Hess had two hits for the Knights.


Catoctin 2, Middletown 0

THURMONT, Md. - Catoctin capitalized on an overthrow to first base to break a scoreless tie and the Cougars went on to defeat Middletown in an MVAL game that featured just one hit.

Heidi Stull scored the go-ahead run, followed by Ashley Lenhart, who scored on a passed ball to give Catoctin (8-0) a two-run cushion.

Shawna Wilkes pitched a no-hitter into the seventh inning before giving up a single, the first and only hit of the game. Wilkes finished with seven strikeouts while walking one.

Middletown's Emily Warrenfeltz tossed a complete game, allowing no hits and no earned runs.

Walkersville 4, Smithsburg 1

SMITHSBURG - Smithsburg committed two of its three errors in the seventh inning to allow Walkersville to score three times and win the MVAL matchup.
