The Kershners

Mr. and Mrs. Donald W. Kershner of Hagerstown celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary Saturday, March 1, 2003, at a surprise celebration held at Pleasant Hill United Brethren Church fellowship building in Greencastle, Pa. The event was hosted by their sons, Jeff Kershner and his fiance, Joan Duffey, and Mike Kershner and his wife, Shirley, by their two grandchildren and by Mrs. Kershner's parents, Charles and Rosa Daley of Hagerstown. About 70 guests attended the celebration.

The Kershners were married March 1, 1963, at

Hagerstown Independent Church by the Rev. Guy Baer. They renewed their vows on their 25th wedding anniversary and again on their 40th anniversary.

Mrs. Kershner is the former Peggy A. Daley.

Mr. Kershner is the son of Cora M. Kershner of Hagerstown and the late Howard E. Kershner.

The Pereschuks

Mr. and Mrs. Earle Pereschuk Sr. of Williamsport celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary Saturday, Feb. 8, 2003, at Calvary Temple Church in Williamsport. The event was hosted by their two sons, Earle Pereschuk Jr. of Williamsort and his girlfriend, Crystal Startzman of Hagerstown, and Jacob Pereschuk of Williamsport and his fiance, Tina Valgene of Hagerstown. Friends and relatives attended the celebration.


The Pereschuks were married Jan. 6, 1978, at Broadfording Church of God by the Rev. Hartraft.

Mrs. Pereschuk is the former Krista Bartles, daughter of Jacob and Mary Bartles. She is employed as an activities coordinator for the Extended Care Unit at Washington County Hospital.

Mr. Pereschuk is the son of Myrtle Pereschuk and the late John Pereschuk. He is employed by Washington County Parks Department on the maintenance and grounds crew.

The Stottlemyers

Mr. and Mrs. Charles L. Stottlemyer of Hagerstown celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Sunday, March 24, 2002.

The Stottlemyers were married March 24, 1942, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Funkstown, by the Rev. Harry Young, now deceased.

Mrs. Stottlemyer is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Earl P. Crist. She retired from Speigel after 18 years of service.

Mr. Stottlemyer retired from Fairchild after 40 years of service.

They have one daughter, one granddaughter, one grandson and one great-grandson.
