Roundup - Pair of Cougars combine to no-hit Wildcats

WILLIAMSPORT - Sam Weaver and Alecia Brandenburg combined on a no-hitter with nine strikeouts as Catoctin defeated Williamsport 13-0 in five innings on Thursday.

Kim Stiles went 2-for-4 for as the Cougars (7-0) beat the Wildcats (3-4) to stay undefeated.

Mechanicsburg 3, Waynesboro 2

MECHANICSBURG, Pa. - Erin Keller and Adrian Hill both drove in runs for Waynesboro (3-3) in the Maidens' loss to Mechanicsburg.


Waynesboro 7, Gettysburg 5

GETTYSBURG, Pa. - Phil Woodring hit a bases-loaded triple in the sixth inning to give Waynesboro (6-0, 4-0 Mid Penn Commonwealth) a win over Gettysburg.

Grace Academy 8, CVCS 2

Eric Hess went 3-for-4 and recorded the win for Grace Academy.

Aaron Sweeney went 3-for-3 and Danny Carver went 2-for-4 for the Knights (2-1).

Mercersburg 15, Goretti 5

MERCERSBURG, Pa. - Alex Laddbush hit two home runs and drove in six for Mercersburg Academy.

Morgan Flowers had four RBI for the Blue Storm (1-1).

Rams split pair with West Liberty

WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. - After losing the first game of a doubleheader, Shepherd bounced back for a 17-12 victory and a split.

Nick Gozzard and Mike Spry each had three hits for Shepherd in the second game.

Jason Rhea went 3-for-4 with a homer and double in the first game for the Rams (11-13, 5-3 West Virginia Conference).
