Hancock plans celebration for 150th anniversary

April 10, 2003

Hancock residents will celebrate their town's 150th anniversary with events scheduled from June 13-15.

Town officials will dedicate the historic toll house, Breathed Park and Barton House, and Confederate re-enactors will stage living history demonstrations, Hancock Historical Society President Donald F. Corbett said.

The old National Pike Road Toll House at Md. 144 and Locher Road just west of the town limits, which has been renovated, will be open to the public after the dedication, Corbett said.
