Egg hunts scheduled

The Frederick County YMCA will hold a spring egg hunt for children ages 4-12 at noon Saturday at Staley Park Pavilion. Children will be put into age appropriate categories. No child will go away empty handed. Participants can bring their own baskets. The fee is $5.00 per person. For more information, contact Paul Spurrier at 301-663-5131, ext. 274.

Chambersburg (Pa.) Mall, an Easter egg hunt for children age 10 and under will begin Saturday at 10 a.m. and will last about two hours. Three age brackets will vie for candy and toy-filled eggs. Pre-registration is required at the mall convenience center.

Mt. Zion Mennonite Church, 10544 Benevola Church Road, Boonsboro, will hold an Easter egg hunt Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be games, prizes and a magician. Lunch will be available with a ham sandwich sale. For more information, call 301-797-3314 or 301-791-9552.

Morgan Grove Park, Shepherdstown, W.Va., Covenant's annual community Easter egg hunt and Resurrection Walk will be Saturday from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. In addition to games, refreshments and the egg hunt, participants may stroll down Resurrection Walk.


Church of the Apostles UCC, Waynesboro, Pa., will hold an Easter party and egg hunt following the 10:45 a.m. morning worship Sunday.

Hood College, Frederick, will hold an Easter egg hunt and other activities on the lawn of Gambrill Gymnasium from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday The free event is open to children 10 years old and younger, accompanied by a parent or guardian. In lieu of admission, those who attend are asked to bring a canned good or nonperishable food item. Children should bring their own baskets. In case of rain, the events will be held in the Whitaker Campus Center.

The Village at Robinwood, Hagerstown, will hold a Ukrainian Easter egg decorating demonstration April 15 from 2:30 to 4 p.m. Rebecca Heise will lead the demonstration.

Leitersburg Volunteer Fire Co. auxiliary will hold an Easter egg hunt for the children of the Leitersburg district on Saturday, April 19, at 1 p.m.

The Kiwanis Club of Charles Town, W.Va., in cooperation with the Boys & Girls Club of Jefferson County and American Legion Post 102 is sponsoring an Easter egg hunt at Jefferson County Memorial Park on Saturday, April 19, beginning at 10 a.m. The event features prizes, face painting, pony rides and food. Avalon Manor will host an Easter egg hunt Saturday, April 19, from 2 to 4 p.m.
